Am I Dead? No, You're not fucking dead. [[Oh, Where Am I?]]

I don't know? Look around. Oh. Whatever, right now there are four people on a journey to [[The Preservation]], our elite community. These are their stories, pick who you would like to follow. [[Ken]] A nervous student. [[Amber]] An optimistic athlete. [[Tully]] A manipulative beauty. [[Jake]] A mysterious wanderer. The beginning is the end.

I'm so lost. I feel like I've been walking for hours through this forest. I'm starting to think it was dumb of me to drop everything to chase this dream. It's just, [[Robbie]] was the only person I feel like ever really liked me. Nobody at home really likes me or wants to be my friend. Robbie was a transfer student who I immediently bonded with. We started getting closer, then starting getting romantic. One night, he told me he was leaving for The Preservation. I didn't want to leave my life at first but after a day I decided to come along. I followed in his footsteps and now I'm [[lost]].

I know I only applied for elite schools but I was bound to get into one right? Wrong. I didn't get into any of the colleges I wanted to. My best friends; [[Tiffany and Elyse]], didn't apply to any colleges. They were done with school after senior year. They both convinced me to try out for this "Preservation?" [[thingy?]] I mean why not. My parents basically disowned me after I didn't get into any good schools.

In high school, I was like supes popular. Like; Head cheerleader, Prom queen, dating the quarterback. No one looks at me and see's a murderer. That's how I like it. I play victim, I play pretty. Lure those unforunate enough into my trap and strike. No one can hide from The Huntress. This is my liiikkkeee 6th? attempt trying to get into The Preservation. I don't actually want to get in. I don't care to get in or not. My main objective is to make sure [[no one else does.]]

I need to find some peace. It's all just cause and effect. My wife dies. My self-destructive behavior leads me to being fired. Me being fired means no money. No money means I get evicted. While I was walking, I heard a couple girls talking about The Preservation. I had nothing left to lose really, so [[why not?]]

I see a hooded man in the distance. Maybe he can help me? "Hey! Excuse me Mister, I'm lost could you help me?" I scream in the distance. He just ignores me. Maybe he didn't here me. "Hello?" He continues walking [[away.]]

It's alright. I'm used to it. I continue walking for a bit and come across a sign that says "Follow me, K" It's a message left by Robbie! I take the [[trail.]]

Once again I'm lost. Why am I always abandoned? Why does everyone leave me? At the start of this nobody wanted to group up with me so I was forced to go through this journey alone. Wait. There's fucking trees. I could just climb the trees to look where I need to go. I'm so [[stupid.]]

There's not much info on this "Preservation" other than it's a "puzzled journey". Me and my wife, Paloma, used to love doing puzzles so I thought I had an advantage over the others. There was about 20 others trying to get to The Preservation. A few tried staying together, some split up, and some died. I was the first to split away from [[everyone else.]]

I'm a natural survivalist and observant. It's what she liked the most about me... I start thinking about her more. I can't do this without her. I need her. "Hey! Excuse me Mister. I'm lost. Can you help me?" One of the kids says to me. Heh. Me too. Me too kid. I put my hands in my pocket and just continue walking. I don't want him to see my teary face. Crying is weakness. I feel bad ignoring the [[kid.]]

I start climbing and reach the top. It's all trees for miles. I start losing hope. I don't even think I can go hope if I wanted to. I'm lost. It's dark. And all i'm all [[alone.]]

I continue wandering. I come across a deserted cave and decide that I'll rest there for the night. I rest my head on what I think is a patch of grass. Wait, why would there be a patch of grass in the middle of a cave. I look at what it really is. A corpse with his throat slashed. I see another corpse with his head smashed. I scream and run as fast as I [[can.]]

I've always had a fascination with blood. I started killing people when I was sixteen. My quarterback boyfriend was my first victim. The reason why I left my old life to start this new cycle of killing is because the cops were closing in on me. I'm on the run [[basically.]]

I tried looking weak and dumb so people would want to allign with me. Oh it worked of course. "Hey, wanna partner up?" This man said to me. "Sure! I don't know how useful I'll be though... I'll try my best!" I say to him with the fakest "good girl" expression ever. "Neat, I'm [[Pete]] and this is my bro [[Fred]]." "What up." Fred waves to me. Can't wait to kill these [[idiots.]]

It's now nighttime. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are trying to build a fire and don't know how to. I don't know if I should be annoyed or laughing in all honesty. "Here, let me try." I say to the two men. Of course I know how to make fucking fire. Not only have I committed several murders via arson, I've been on the run for several murders. I make and tend to the fire. Done. "Woah, good job." Fred says to me. "Thanks" I say and let out a fake [[chuckle.]]

In the morning, I mislead the two men by making a sign that leads to a false trail. "Follow me, K." Pete reads the sign aloud. "This way, dude!" Fred yells as he [[sprints.]]

I mislead the two men into a cave. I'm going to make my move. "Is this it?" Pete confusingly says. "I don't think so.." I shyly say. "Nervous or sunthin'?" Fred says to me as he puts his filty arm around my shoulder. "Nothin' to be scared of doll." I'm annoyed and bored of these two. It's time. "I know." I swifty take out my butterfly knife and plunge it into Fred's throat. Fred gurgles on his own blood, alerting [[Pete.]]

I lunge my knife at Pete and stab him in the shoulder. He manages to endure the pain enough for him to tackle me to the ground. Shit. This doesn't happen that often. I notice another presence in the area and start screaming. "HELP! PLEASE NO! N-NOT THERE!!!" I loudly scream. A hooded man comes to my rescue and throws a boulder on top of Pete, killing him. "Thank you... I don't know what I would have done without you..." I say to [[the hooded man.]]

He doesn't say anything back to me but I can tell he likes me. We continue walking and wandering together. "Wait." He suddenly says. That was like the first time he spoke to me. I think at least? "It's all just forest here." Yeah no shit Sherlock. "Yeah.. I noticed that." I say to him. "The Preservation. It's underground." He figured it out. I can't let him. [["Are you sure?"]]

"Yeah and the passage to get to it was the start of the trail. I can't believe we all missed it." He explains to me. "Wow you're so smart! Thank you!" I let out a fake giggle. He walks in front of me. I know what I have to do. I take out my knife and stab him in the back of the neck. He turns around with the most shocked expression I have ever seen. "W-why..?" He gurgles. He tries running away while holding his wound but falls to the ground. Not gonna lie. I kinda liked him. "Sorry. I actually feel bad about this one. Like those two jerks in the cave I didn't give a shit about. But you? I don't know you were..." I say to him as he takes his last [[breath.]]

I've been wandering for a day alone. I can't find the beginning anywhere. Where am I? Where is everyone else? "HELP!" I scream. I need to find an exit. It doesn't even have to be where I came in from, I just wanna get out of this forest. I continued wandering around and there was no one left. I'm... alone? This can't be happening. Not to me. I'm lost in the forest. [[Back to Start]]

I climb up a tree to give me a sense of where I am. There is just forest for miles. I start wondering. Is this The Preservation? Looks nothing like what it does in the pictures. I climb back down but I the branch I put my foot on snaps and I [[fall.]]

I accidently run into another girl and we fall to the ground. I look up and realize who it is. It's Elyse, she went to my school. "Ken? What are you doing here?" She says to me. "I could ask you the same thing." I avoid making eye contact with her. It's kinda [[weird.]]

I land on both my feet, surprising myself. There were three girls also surprised by this feat. "Woah." One of the girls said. "Hey, Amber. You got what you wanted. A hot guy fell from the sky!" Another girl said. "Shut up, Tiff. He's right there." The third girl says. I'm kind of embarassed and I'm not used to this much attention so I don't know what to say. "Sorry about them. I'm Amber and these are my friends Tiffany and Elyse." The girl says [[to me.]]

I turn around and try walking away but all three of them sprint in front of me. "Hey where are you going?" One of the girls says. "You talk?" "Maybe he's mute." "Hey just leave him alone." Amber says to her friends. They're so close to me.... "Sorry." I say to the girls [["He speaks!"]]

I hope my wife isn't looking down on me, disappointed. Suddenly, I hear a neaby scream. "HELP! PLEASE NO! NOT THERE!" The screaming continues. "YO SOMEONE'S BEING MURDERED OVER THERE I'M NOT TRYNNA DIE." One of the girls says as they sprint off. The other girl follows her. Amber tries to signal me to follow her and her friends. But... I just feel the need to save her. I don't know why. But I just need to. I run to the direction of the [[screaming.]]

I run into the cave and see a man forcing himself on a woman. Disgusting. If that isn't the ugliest thing i've ever seen. What a garbage human being. I see a nearby rock and I don't even hesitate to bash his head in with it. "Thank you... I don't know what I would have done without you..." The woman says to me. I blush and let out a smile before turning around. So many beautiful girls [[here...]]

We were together for about a day. She's so sweet. Her names Tully. I never thought i'd fall in love again after Paloma passed away, but here I am. She mostly talks and I just listen. She's amazing. As we're walking I realized something. "The beginning of the end" was listed by the gates. If there's just forest for miles but "The Preservation", the elite community, is in the area... That's it! It must be at the beginning! "Wait. It's all just forest here." I turn around and tell her. "Yeah.. I noticed that." She says to me. "The Preservation. It's underground." "Are you sure?" She says. "Yeah and the passage to get to it was the start of the trail. I can't believe we all missed it." "Wow you're so smart! Thank you!". She looks so happy. She has such a cute smile, a gorgeous [[laugh.]]

I know where the beginning is. We did it. We found The Preservation. We did it. I did it. I found peace. At last, I can-.... There's a sharp pain in the back of my neck. I turn around and see Tully with a bloodied knife in her hand. Huh? That can't be right... She wouldn't betray me. "W-why?" I say to her as blood pours out of my mouth. She has no remorse. Why? I can't die. I have to live. I use my remaining energy to try and leave but it's too late. I lost too much blood. I fall to the ground and look her dead in the eyes. "Sorry. I actually feel bad about this one. Like those two jerks in the cave I didn't give a shit about." I should've realized this. I'm so stupid. I look up at the sky. It's beautiful. Paloma. I'm coming home. [[Back to Start]]

"I'm... trying to find someone." I say to her. "Really? Me too." She says to me, wide eyes and everything. "I came into this thing with my friends, Amber and Tiffany, we got seperated and I can't find them anywhere. I looked for such a long time and I... I can't..." she continues. "Well... Maybe we can look for them together." I suggest to her. "Amber fell in a river... And Tiffany she just... ran off. I don't know what to do." Elyse says as her voice cracks. "We could wander together and see if we find them. Go back to the start and get help from officers. Or try and find the Preservation and see if they'll help us. I know my way back to the start but I don't know where your friends are and have not even the slightest idea where The Preservation is." I say to [[Elyse.]]

We go to the abandoned location and there are like eighteen-ish other people. I see a sign that says "The beginning is the end" which is there like logo or something I'm assuming and we make our way into the forest. It's mostly just trees, hills, caves, and rocks. [[Some sheds.]]

"I'm so ready for this!" Elyse glady says. "I can't wait to get there, I hope there's a lot of cute guys." Tiffany says as she winks to me. "Yeah." Honestly this is nice. I get to have a vacation almost with my two best friends and then we get to live together. Maybe this was supposed to [[happen.]]

I see in the distance another girl using her looks to her advantage. She's so obviously manipulating those two girls. "She don't love herself." Tiffany says. I giggle. "Yeah." "Nothin' wrong with that." Elyse says as she applies lipgloss. "Sooo any idea where this Preservation place is." I say to them. "Nope." Tiffany says. "You know every year there's a body count... A few people make it in, a few don't, but some also don't make it out alive..." Elyse states. "Girl now ain't the time for ghost stories" Tiffany says. "It's true!" Elyse [[exclaims.]]

We continue walking together for like an hour. "I think we're lost" Tiffany says. "Well at least we're lost together. I'd hate to go through this alone" I tell her. They both seem like they're losing hope. The thing is it doesn't matter if we make it there or not. It's that we're doing it together. "Well, I oop-" Elyse says right before a hooded man lands on both his feet from above right in front of me. "Woah." Is all she has to say. "Hey, Amber. You got what you wanted. A hot guy fell from the sky!" Tiffany jokingly says. "Shut up, Tiff. He's right there." Elyse tries to whisper, even though he can hear her. "Sorry about them. I'm Amber and these are my friends Tiffany and Elyse." I say to the stranger. Hey might as well be nice. Maybe he can [[help us.]]

The stranger completely ignores us, turns around, and just walks away. Kinda rude. Maybe he's been through it though. I mean we still pestered him. "Hey where are you going?" Tiffany says. "You talk?" She continues. "Maybe he's mute." Elyse explains. "Hey just leave him alone." I say to them. Like I said, maybe he's been through a lot. "Sorry" he shyly says. "He speaks!" Tiffany [[shouts.]]

However, their smiles soon turn to faces of fear. Elsewhere, a girl screaming her lungs out can be heard through the entire forest. "HELP! PLEASE NO! NOT THERE!" The screaming continues. Elyse was right. People die every year. "YO SOMEONE'S BEING MURDERED OVER THERE I'M NOT TRYNNA DIE." Tiffany shouts as she sprints off without a care about us. Elyse and I follow her. I turn around to check up on the stranger. It looks like he's contemplating following us or going after the screaming girl. I try to wave to him to follow us. I mean I know we just met him, but I don't want him to die. We make eye contact and he runs towards the directions of the screams. I don't want my friends to abandon me so I continue running away. I hope he'll be [[okay.]]

Tiffany and Elyse are way ahead of me. "HEY GUYS WAIT UP!" I shout at them. I'm faster than both of them so i'll catch up but It's getting dark and foggy, I don't want to lose them. Suddenly, I trip and roll down a hill. I'm not a good multi-tasker. I don't pay attention to my surroundings and now I pay the price. I heard my back crack and suddenly I feel numb as I fall into a river. "AMBER!" Elyse shouts as she runs to try and save me. It's too late. [[I'm drifting away.]]

Suddenly, I wake up. I'm still alive. I'm still floating on the water. I'm still lost. and I still can't move my legs. Not only that but I'm alone. At this point, I'm just waiting to die. I see ahead of me. It's a waterfall. I don't know how long i've been unconscious for but here I am about to meet my death. I wish I was still passed out. I don't want to [[feel me die.]]

I look up at the sky and shed a couple tears. Well at least... I was able to go on one last adventure with my friends. Suddenly, the sky and water start changing and "glitching"!??!? As I'm about to fall. Am I hallucinating? No. It's a projection. My surroundings turn to black. "Welcome" A scientist says to me. "That's one way to make it to The Preservation." Another scientist says. "Can you stand?" No. I can't stand up on my own. I can't use my legs. And I'll never be able to run again... [[Back to Start]]

"I.. I don't know." Elyse says as she tears up. I know the best option is just to go back. We can't continue wandering this endless forest or we'll get even more lost. "We're going back." Wait, shit. Did I say that aloud. I was assertive? Damn, I did that. But... If I go back I'll never see Robbie. Elyse looks up at me and just says [["Okay... Let's go."]]

Elyse and I travel back to the beginning of the gates. As we're about to leave the area, I take one glance back at the forest. Sorry Robbie. I then look at the logo "The beginning is the end." Wait. That's not a logo. That's a hint. "Elyse, wait! Come back!" I shout at her. She turns around, "Woah, I never heard you shout that loud before." Same, Elyse. There's a tree that looks different from the rest. It's a bit bigger and hollow. I take a look around it and realize it's an underground passage underneath the tree. "This way." I confidently say to Elyse. [[There's a tunnel.]]

We take the route down. It's a new trail. A new trial, perhaps. It has a futuristic look to it. Elyse and I both silently walk down the path. At the end, there are large double doors. We each open one to a new life. There are plenty of people. It's beautiful. I don't know how there's a beautiful sky underground but there is. The scenary is just gorgeous. Elyse and I enter and a woman in a suit walks up to us. "Hello there. My name is Pamela, and this is The Preservation." [[Back to Start]]

Amber's best friends. Elyse is a bookworm and prefers indoors and libraries. Tiffany is sassy, quickwitted, and loves traveling. Tiffany didn't apply for any colleges and does not want to be held down by a job she doesn't even want. Elyse got accepted into several colleges but could not afford any of them or earn a scholarship. Like Amber, both girls wanted to go out on an adventure.

"Hello there! I am Pamela Hills, Senator of The Preservation Here, we are an elite community! Equiped with the finest technology to make all your dreams come true! Want an escape from life? Want an escape from politics? Want an escape from crime? Want an escape from reality? That is us. However, this is an elite community. Therefore, we only accept the best of the best. Want to join us? Come find us. Anually on May 11th, a chance to enter will be held. All applicants will meet at the address: 7438 Dome Arlington, Alola Forest Gate. From there you will have the rest of the day to find our community! However, The gates and dome close after a week is up. If you do not complete this quest. You will be trapped in the forest until the next event we hold. You can choose to opt out at any time but must fine your own way out. Best of luck and remember, The Beginning is The End."

Robbie is Ken's former best friend/boyfriend. He's a transfer student that attended the same school as Ken. He's toned and athletic with a calling for adventure. They started becoming romantically involved until Robbie disappeared in the middle of the night.

Pete is a frat boy, rich college drop-out. He flunked out and his parents stopped paying for his finances. He ran away because it of.

Brother of Pete. Less snobby and obnoxious. More of a blue-collar type of person. Loves his brother more than anything and wants to protect him at all costs.
